Food For Thought

28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your doctrine, and intend to bring this Man’s blood on us!” 29 But Peter and the other apostles answered and said: “We ought to obey God rather than men.

Acts 5:28-29 NKJV

Look at how the religious leaders spoke to Peter! The spoke to Peter as if they had power and authority over what he could teach or preach. Even more importantly that I want to point out is what their authority accomplished, or better yet, did not accomplish. The apostles had “filled Jerusalem” with the doctrine of Christ.

Are we, God’s children, filling the world with the doctrine of Christ? We should, but many of are being mighty quiet nowadays. Let’s remember that the doctrine of Christ is a doctrine of love that deliver souls from spiritual death. The doctrine of Christ is a doctrine of love that uplifts and is a blessing to those who receive it. So, it is truly a good doctrine to share and fill the world with to where many could be blessed!

Yet, like the apostles, we have an enemy that wants us to shut up. Our enemy would love that we would obey his voice and remain quiet. Our enemy loves the mess that the world is in today. Do you love the world the way it is today? We have a duty to fill this world with what our enemy despises. I will obey the voice of God before I obey the voice of my enemy! I encourage you today to proudly let the world know the blessing of God’s love.
