The Judge of the Upright | Is. 26:7-8

Read This Passage: Isaiah 26:1-9

The way of the just is uprightness; O Most Upright, You weigh the path of the just. Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O Lord, we have waited for You; The desire of our soul is for Your name and for the remembrance of You.

Hebrews 6:13-15 NKJV

The prophet makes it very clear as to what it means to be just and who it is that determines who is just and who is unjust. To be just means that you are fair and honest in your character, your soul, and in your judgments. Simply put, to be just is uprightness. The one who determines who is just or unjust is the Most Upright. The Most Upright, the Lord, weighs the path of the just, but sadly, many people don’t think this is the case as they believe they are the ones who determine whether they are upright or not.

There are many so-called believers that believe themselves to be perfect and because they are perfect, in their minds, they don’t believe they will face God’s judgment. However, you and I, as sincere believers, should understand that the way of the upright will be judged by the Lord. God will test your works by His fire to see whether your works endure the fire or be consumed by the fire. Though the true believer cannot lose salvation, we should understand that there will be rewards for the life we have lived and we should not desire to lose those rewards.

With that in mind, we should live with the desire of our soul being the Lord. The manner in which we carry ourselves should be for the Lord. The way in which we speak should be for the Lord. We should strive to live according to the word of God so that we may be upright in God’s eyes as He is the one that every knee will bow to and every tongue will confess.
