Isaiah 41:14-15 NKJV

Isaiah 41 is a chapter where the Lord assured the children of Israel that He was with them. The Lord said to them, “Fear not, for I am with you. (Is. 41:10).” We have to remember the words shared throughout this chapter came at a time where Israel had forsook the Lord. Because they turned away from the Lord, Israel would be conquered by the Assyrians and Judah by the Babylonians.

Because of their wicked ways, the Lord had likened them to a lowly worm. Just think about that! As a gardener, we know that worms serve a very useful purpose. However, to most folks, worms are overlooked and trampled upon unnoticed. Israel and Judah were trampled all over by the Assyrians and Babylonians. Yet, the Lord said the day would come when the worm would become a threshing board and chew up mountains.

The Lord has faithfully promised that the meek will inherit the earth. A threshing board was used to roll across the ground and separate grain. The weak a lowly often get rolled over by the “wealthy” and the “mighty” today. Yet, the time is coming, and I believe now is, when the lowly rise up in this world.

God is with you and though you may have your struggles today, weeping may endure for a night but joy is coming. You will chew through your trials, tribulations, and afflictions – you will overcome them!
