1 He who is often rebuked, and hardens his neck, Will suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.

Proverbs 29:1 NKJV

You have heard me say it before, when God rebukes you, you should heed His rebuke. One who has heard from God and does not heed Him, is blatantly choosing to ignore the Lord. Tell me what you think, do you think it is good to ever ignore the Lord?

Consider that one who ignores God is ignoring Him who is omniscient (all knowing). One who chooses to ignore is saying that they know more than the Lord. To say that you know more than God takes a lot of pride and ego. God once asked Job, “Where were you when I laid the foundations of the earth?” Who are we to every think we know more than the one that created all things that are known and unknown?

God’s ways are higher than ours. Pride, ego, and stubbornness will be the end of many people. Those that ignore the rebuke of God, are those who will suddenly be destroyed. Those that ignore the Lord put themselves on the direct path to eternal condemnation. If you ignore God today, I encourage you to stop. Let go of your pride and ego and find life!
