Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 NKJV
This is my verse— the verse that carries me through life; the verse that I live by. I encourage you to live by this verse. Faith is not a profession – something you say. Many people like to say that they believe and that they are saved. Yet, when the trials of life come there way, their professed faith evaporates. There are many that profess to believe in God but they quickly turn to the world for help and not to God. Where is that faith in God that you professed to have?
Jesus would say, “Oh you of little faith”. You see, faith is built on hope and hope that sits still is dead. Hope that is built on hope in what the world can do for you is also dead. The world can give to temporary happiness but it can do nothing to uplift your soul. This is why I will always encourage you to build and put your hope in the Lord: God is eternal; His giving is eternal.
My hope in the Lord is what keeps me encouraged, uplifted, and motivated on this journey. No matter the obstacles I have faced, and still may face, I am encouraged by my faith to know that I will overcome. True faith is hope in the Lord. True faith is knowing that no matter what, God is going to bless you. In fact, true faith is knowing that you are already blessed.
