When Wisdom Enters Your Heart | Proverbs 2:10, 20-21

Read This Passage: Proverbs 2:10-22

10 When wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul … 20 you may walk in the way of goodness, and keep to the paths of righteousness. 21 For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it

Proverbs 2:10, 20-21 NKJV

You cannot truly receive your blessings and be blessed if you’re going at it without the Lord. Do not be deceived nor mistaken but what those who are of the world will tell you; you cannot disobey God’s instructions and still be blessed by the Lord! Don’t think for one second that you don’t have to be in fellowship with the Lord for God to bless you. No, you must be of sincere faith and dwell in fellowship with the Lord for you to be made content in your soul.

You see, when you are of sincere faith in God, the proverb tells us that the wisdom of God makes a home within us and His wisdom becomes pleasant to our soul. The foolish man despises wisdom and instruction, and should they continue in their own way, they will foolishly fall into destruction (Prov. 1:32; 12:1-2). However, when you choose to lean not on your own understanding but walk in the wisdom of God, you will walk in the way of goodness and keep to the paths of righteousness.

Do you understand what walking the way of goodness and righteousness will lead to? Holiness and righteousness – the incorruptibility of God’s glory. So, I encourage you, let the wisdom of God enter your heart and guide you! The proverb concludes that those who walk in the wisdom of God will dwell in the land and because they will be blameless, they will remain in the land. The land we shall all remain in when we walk in obedience to God’s instructions will be the land promised to us – the heavenly kingdom.
