When You Wait on God | Is. 40:30-31

Read This Passage: Isaiah 40:27-31

30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31 But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:30-31 NKJV

Have you ever heard it said that good things come to those that wait? I’m sure you have probably heard that before but no matter how many times we hear this, patience is just not the strong suit of many. I often wonder to myself, why can’t we wait? Why don’t we have the patience to wait on the Lord?

So many of us get out ahead of God believing that we can get to our blessing much quicker than waiting on the Lord. What many of us fail to realize is that in our haste to get to our blessing, when we don’t wait on the Lord or follow His instructions, we hinder – block ourselves – from possessing our blessing. Run as fast as you want, but like its said by the prophet, even the young eventually grow weary of racing and they faint and fall.

Let’s work smarter and not harder, right? The wise thing for you today is to wait on God. When you wait on God, the Lord will keep you uplifted and push you forward. When you wait on God and are obedient to His instructions, you will be rewarded a great deal faster than when you rush in disobedience. So, my encouragement for you today is to simply wait on the Lord. Waiting on the Lord will lead to you enjoying much success.
