Who’s a Greater Judge than God
Reverend Leo H. McCrary II
Do you believe that you are a greater judge than the Lord? You should certainly think better than that!

Today’s devotional reading: James 4:11-12
There is only one true judge of mankind, and He is the one who judges righteously, not with bias. God is the only one who can judge, as He is the one who has ordained what is, and what is not, holy (good conduct) and righteous (without sin).
The Lord has determined that good conduct is love that uplifts. Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, does not think evil, and it certainly does not rejoice in iniquity. In the manner in which man moves, it ought to be clear to you that we have things turned around, especially if we think speaking evil of others, mistreating others, judging and condemning others is the way of righteousness.
Nowhere in the Lord’s word will you ever see God command anyone to judge someone based on the color of their skin, their nationality, or the tongue they speak in. Jesus said to the disciples, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies.”
When one makes the choice to move selectively obeying this command, picking and choosing who they will love, what they will and will not do of God’s word, they have determined that they are a greater judge than God. How can we, the sinners, be a greater judge than the one who is benevolent and righteous?
