Worthy to Be With Him in Paradise | Luke 23:41-43
April 18, 2025
41 And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward of our deeds; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” 43 And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Luke 23:41-43 NKJV
There are some of us who believe we are a lost cause – that we can’t be helped and can’t be saved. Let me tell you something, that is not true. God will forgive all sin except the sin of blaspheming the Spirit. If you move to hinder or impede the work of the Spirit, your crime will go punished. Otherwise, if you desire to go to God but think that God won’t welcome you because of your wrongdoing, think again!
You see, there was a thief that was hanging next to Jesus as He was dying on the cross. This thief acknowledged his sin, and that he was paying for the crimes that he had done. The thief then looked to Jesus and prayed that he be remembered when Christ entered His kingdom and look at what Jesus did. Jesus promised and assured the man that he would be with Him in glory! Many may have thought this thief unworthy to inherit the kingdom because of the crimes he had done but Jesus forgave him on the spot!
As John said, the Lord is both faithful and just to cleanse all unrighteousness. Don’t hinder yourself from glory! Many of us are letting the devil get in our heads and cause us to hinder ourselves from receiving God’s glory. However, I tell you that Jesus hung on the cross because He found you worthy to be with Him in Paradise!
So, I encourage you today to turn away from your fear and doubt – God will welcome you in! Turn to Him, He knows who you are. Again, I tell you that He will welcome you in with outstretched arms.
