Would God Recommend You to Those In Need? | 2 Cor. 3:2-3
November 14, 2024
2 You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men; 3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NKJV
We are supposed to be living testimonies of the Lord. When I say “we”, I am speaking about all of us who have confessed faith in our heart. With the confession of faith one should move by faith. You see, it is not enough to go to church but you must remember that you are the church. What I mean by that is that everywhere you are supposed to be holy, righteous, and that faithful representative of the Lord.
God’s desire is for you to go out into the world and be His representative so that those who are in need can be properly served. So, are you a good steward? Would God recommend you to those who may be in need of the help that you can offer? Paul said that you are a letter (a recommendation) of Christ that, while you may not appear in scripture, you are physically in this world. So, Christ should be able to recommend you to the next person that is in need!
Here’s the problem: some of us can’t be recommended by Christ because we aren’t the most obedient in our faith. None of us should have the desire to not be used by Christ. The most beautiful thing about our faith is that we have the power to uplift those who are around us. It brings great joy to the soul when you can help someone grow in their faith. It brings great joy when you can guide and teach someone in the way of be a better person.
So, I encourage you today to keep moving with obedience so that you can be that epistle that Christ will continue to recommend to those who are in need.
