Food For Thought

16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. 17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 18 If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand; when I awake, I am still with You.

Psalm 139:16-18 NKJV

Something I love to remind myself about is about God’s love of me. Because I love to remind myself about God loving me, I love to remind all of you that God loves you as well. It is incredibly important for us to remember how the Lord looks at us and considers us from a place of love. The reason why is because we go through so much in our life that it can feel like everybody is against us, including God.

David shares a psalm where he recognized that God was never against him in all he went through. He said that God was fully aware of him before he was even formed in his mother’s womb. Before he lived out the days of his life, David said the Lord was aware of the paths he would take. As he considered that, he thought about how God had not forsaken him while he yet lived. David recognized that God’s thoughts towards him were more in number than the grain of sand.

You and I are here today not because of anything that we did – not our strength and our might. You and I are here today because we are so precious in the eyes of God that He has considered well our way. When I think about all it took for me just to be here today, I am grateful. I am grateful for all I have overcame and endured. God loves you- He is with you. No matter what you’re facing, He has promised that His thoughts towards you are of nothing but blessings.
