You Are God’s Testimony | Genesis 39:2-3Read This Passage: Genesis 39:1-6
2 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3 And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.Genesis 39:2-3 NKJV
Something I repeatedly tell those that are true and sincere believers of the Lord is that we His testimony. I want you to understand, whether you realize it or not, you are God’s testimony. To that point, we must understand that all people are watching to see how the child of God moves, responds, and reacts.
Joseph, one of my favorites in scripture, was very blessed and highly favored. Scripture tells us that Jacob loved him more than his brothers because he was younger than them. The Lord would give Joseph dreams of greatness that gave him great excitement and he would share those dreams with his brothers. Rather than being happy for him, his brothers sold him into slavery where most folks would have been utterly destroyed. Joseph, on the other hand, was not destroyed; he moved in great faith and remained blessed and highly favored regardless of the awful thing that had happened to him.
By moving in faith he continued to be greatly blessed. Joseph was so blessed that even the Pharaoh at that time realized that God was with Joseph and even trusted Joseph. I share this with you today because, again, I want you to keep pushing forward in faith whether you’re in a good or bad period. You are God’s testimony to believers and non-believers which means that your testimony can inspire anyone to push forward and have faith.
